Press Menu, , , and OK to access settings Self-timer Choose a self-timer setting. 1280 x 720 (HD720p) HQ--HDTV format; uses the least compression, gives the highest video quality. 1280 x 720 (HD720p) (default)--HDTV format; uses compression to save space. 640 x 480-- medium quality and file size; uses compression to save space. 320 x 240-- lowest quality; smallest file size.
AF Control Continuous AF (default for video)--because the camera Choose an auto-focus setting. is always focusing, there is no need to press the Shutter button halfway down to focus. Single AF (default for pictures)--uses TTL-AF (through-the-lens auto focus) when the Shutter button is pressed halfway down.

Use Setup to customize your camera.
Press Menu, Setup, then to highlight to access settings Options Power Save High Power (default) 30 seconds 20 seconds 10 seconds (default) Off (no dimming) Auto (default)--the camera uses the card if one is in the camera. Internal Memory-- the camera always uses internal memory, even if a card is installed.
LC D Brightness Choose LCD brightness. LC D Dimmer Choose inactivity time until LCD dims.
Image Storage Choose a storage location for pictures/videos.
Add Album--create an album. You can apply different Set Album choices Clear All--selected album settings a re cancelled. Then, all the pictures/videos you take are tagged with those album names. See page 45.
