To create a routefromthelistof waypoints, first name the route asshown onthe previous page. You should see the screen at the top of the next page after naming the route. All of the waypoints (including their number, name, and symbol) stored in the GlobalMap 1000 canbe viewed on the leftside ofthescreen. The first

Initial Setting izationscreen. The settings now in use are shown at the top of Latitude: II *5'44. 2J7' thedisplay. Thefirst number in Longitude: J 80O8. 129 Oft Altitude: + the latitude display should be Time: 12:4'bBZpm flashing. Ifyou'reusingtheunit Date: 10/28/1993 forthefirsttime, thesesettings N/S Latitude are probably wrong for your 1oggle and time. To change ftlUse arrow keys to moue about, PressI position tialization anyofthenumbers on this dis- RIENT to star CLR will exit when' screen. Forexample, to changethelatitude to410 numberthatyou 18. 023', first pressthe 4 key whilethe "3" in the latitude is flashing. It also moves one digit to the right, making the number"6" start flashing. Now press the 1 key. If you need to change the latitude from north to south, press the key next to the "Toggle N/S Initial Setting latitude" label in the middle of the screen. When you're finLatitude: N 41° 18, 023' Longitude: II *80°08. 129' ished with the latitude, press Altitude: + 0 ft thedown arrow key once. Date: 10/28/1993 An asterisk(*) flashesin front E/W Longitude of the "9" in the longitude.
