Disposal of the packing material
The transport and protective packing has been selected from materials which are environmentally friendly for disposal and can normally be recycled. are disposed of safely and kept out of the reach of babies and young children. Rather than just throwing these materials away, please ensure they are offered for recycling. [. . . ] You could also use a cleaning brush which is available as an optional extra from your Miele dealer or the Miele Spare Parts Department. ^ Once clean, push the filter back into the door holder until it clicks into position. ^ Close the door.

Cleaning them with water If there is a great deal of compacted fluff on any of the filters, they can be removed and cleaned under hot running water. ^ Open the door and pull the fluff filter out of the door as described previously. The two filters in the door opening can also be removed if you need to clean them with water.

damp or wet. ^ Push the large filter back into the door holder until it clicks into position. ^ Replace the filters in the door opening by first inserting them at the bottom and then pressing them into place at the top. ^ Lock both dials.
^ Turn dial a and pull the filter by the dial out of the door opening as shown b. with a vacuum cleaner.

Cleaning the tumble dryer
Disconnect the machine from the mains electricity supply. ^ Clean the housing and control panel with a slightly damp cloth and a mild detergent or soapy water. ^ The drum and other stainless steel parts can be cleaned with a suitable propietary stainless steel cleaner following the manufacturer's instructions. Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, glass cleaners or all-purpose cleaners. ^ A microfibre E-Cloth is available from the Miele UK Spare Parts Department which is suitable for cleaning surfaces such as stainless steel, glass, plastic and chrome without the use of chemicals. It can be washed 300 times.

Hygiene filter
Replacing the hygiene filter The hygiene filter in the dryer filters out dirt particles from the room air which is drawn in to cool the condenser unit. This means that when the air which has been used to cool the condenser unit is expelled back into the room, it does not add any dirt particles to the air in the room. The replaceable hygiene filter is located in a removeable holder on the back of the panel.
, To ensure that the dryer continues to function correctly the hygiene filter* must be replaced with a new filter when necessary.
* accessory available to order ^ Press the lugs gently together to release the holder from the panel. ^ Dispose of the used hygiene filter with your normal household waste. ^ "Click" the holder, together with the new filter, onto the back of the panel. ^ Replace the panel and press the upper edge until it clicks into position.
^ Use the yellow lever to open the panel. ^ Now remove the panel by pulling it diagonally upwards.

Resetting the filter counter after fitting a new filter The Change filter indicator comes on to tell you that it is time, under normal conditions, to replace the hygiene filter with a new one. However, where excessive dust has collected it may be necessary to replace the hygiene filter more frequently than waiting until the indicator lights up. You must reset the filter counter back to 0 when you replace the filter. [. . . ] Before you begin, first ensure that: The tumble dryer is switched off. A Press the Start button and keep it pressed in whilst carrying out steps B-C. As soon as the indicator light for the Start button lights up constantly . 0 will appear alternately in the display to show that a setting is selected. [. . . ]
