OPERATING THE APPLIANCE ASSEMBLY
Your vacuum cleaner has an efficient suction action to provide high levels of cleaning on all types of surface around the home. ·
Other accessories include:
Crevice tool È for awkward places, corners and behind radiators etc. Tools can be stored on the tool storage clip Ï that fits onto the extension tubes.

Insert the flexible hose
Insert the flexible hose Á in the hose inlet duct · on the front of the product, press until it clicks into position A. ·
Turbo nozzle Ì
(certain models only) This nozzle is ideal for picking up pet hairs from upholstery or stairs.
To remove the flexible hose
Press the release button to release the flexible hose. ·
Cleaning the turbo nozzle
(certain models only) The turbo nozzle should be regularly cleaned and any hairs or fibres wrapped around the brush bar removed to maintain optimum performance.
Fitting the extension tubes and accessories
Join the two extension tubes Î together and attach the extension tubes to the handle end Á of the hose. The floor nozzle can be used for carpets, rugs, hard floors and tiles.

CONTROLS On/off control
Press the on/off pedal < to start the machine, press again to turn off. WARNING: When using the cable rewind, always hold the plug as the cable will rewind quickly.

Eco Switch
The Eco Switch allows you to turn down the power when cleaning more delicate items such as curtains and upholstery, saving energy and reducing running costs.
Emptying the dust canister
1 2 3 Disconnect the cleaner from the mains socket. Shake the filter basket into the waste bin, this will remove most of the dust.

Suction control on the handle
The suction power can be adjusted using the fingertip control on the handle B. Closed : Open : full suction low suction

2 position wheeled floor nozzle Ê
The brushes should be retracted for use on carpets and down for use on hard floors by adjusting the lever on the floor nozzle.

Replacement filter basket
To maintain the suction of the cleaner the filter basket must be washed regularly (in warm water only, no detergent). IMPORTANT: Both parts MUST BE THOROUGHLY DRY before the assembly is re-fitted to the cleaner.
Storage position
The vacuum cleaner can be stored in an upright position. Slide the storage hook , , into the slot on the base of the product  and the tubes, hose and floor nozzle are held securely H.

Reassemble
· Replace the filter basket ensuring that the seal is good E. Then replace the pod onto the main body F.
Motor protection filter
This cleaner is fitted with a motor protection filter. NEVER USE THE VACUUM CLEANER WITHOUT THIS IN PLACE.

To clean the motor protection filter
1 2 Remove the filter from the filter grille G. Put the filter back into the filter grille and reassemble.

HINTS AND TIPS Changing and cleaning the exhaust filter
This filter should be replaced every 12 months or sooner if required. Remove the exhaust filter grille by pulling the locking tabs towards you I. IMPORTANT: · All filters should be checked regularly for signs of damage, preferably after each cleaning task. [. . . ] If for any reason this item is replaced during the 2 year guarantee period, the guarantee on the new item will be calculated from original purchase date. Therefore it is vital to retain your original till receipt or invoice to indicate the date of initial purchase. To qualify for the 2 year guarantee, the appliance must have been used according to the instructions supplied.
