The domestic refrigerators and freezers are designed to be used specifically for the storage of edible foodstuffs only. Manufacturers' storage recommendations should be strictly adhered to. If the sockets of your domestic wiring system are not grounded, have the appliance connected to a separate ground wire by a qualified electrician in accordance with the existing safety regulations. D344 3 2 5 4 1 32 OPERATION Refrigerator/Freezer Starting-up and Temperature Regulation Insert the plug into the wall socket. Open the refrigerator door and turn the thermostat knob, to be found on the upper right side of the inner liner, clockwise, beyond the «O» position, to start the appliance. Temperature adjustment is obtained by turning the thermostat knob to the required setting. However, the thermostat knob setting should be adjusted depending on the temperature required inside the appliance. This, in turn, depends on a number of factors such as the ambient temperature, the number of times the door is opened, the quantity of food stored and the location of the appliance. D731 CUSTOMER SERVICE What to do if the appliance is not functioning properly. If something is not working properly, check that: the plug is firmly in the wall socket and the mains power switch is on; there is an electricity supply (find out by plugging in another appliance); the thermostat knob is not on the «OFF» position. Furthermore: If the appliance seems too noisy, check that the sides are not touching furniture that can transmit or amplify a noise or a vibration. [. . . ]
